Position: Branch Accountant

Job Purpose:
Our client, a highly respected healthcare supplier in the region, is seeking a Branch Accountant. This critical role involves managing the financial operations of a branch or division, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, proper recording of financial transactions, and timely preparation of financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Financial Records: Maintain accurate financial records for the branch, record all financial transactions, prepare financial statements, and reconcile accounts
• Handle Accounts Payable and Receivable: Issue invoices, process payments, and ensure all payments are received and recorded accurately
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare budgets and forecasts by analyzing financial data and trends, and make recommendations for improving financial performance
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present clear and concise financial reports for management and stakeholders
• Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, monitor financial activities for fraud, and ensure proper documentation of transactions
• Liaison with Auditors: Assist with the annual audit process by providing necessary financial documents and responding to auditor inquiries
• Support Other Departments: Provide financial analysis or advice to support decision-making and assist with other tasks as needed
• Communication and Coordination: Actively engage with the Head of Department/Manager and staff to ensure efficient communication and follow-up on issues
• Implement SOPs and Policies: Follow all approved Standard Operating Procedures and company policies as per the Quality Management System
• Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• CPA (K) or ACCA certification
• 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance
• Tanzanian nationals are encouraged to apply.
