C-Sema is a not-for-profit organization established to promote and protect children's rights in Tanzania. Our core strategic program is the National Child Helpline, a vital service that connects us with thousands of individuals daily. We provide expert guidance and support in critical areas such as child protection, maternal and child nutrition, gender-based violence, mental health, sexual reproductive health, and early childhood education. Our collaboration with the government ensures efficient support for callers, and together, we work towards building a safer, healthier, and more inclusive world for children and families.
Role Description
This is an internship role at C-Sema located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our mission of promoting and protecting children's rights. You will assist our professional team in providing expert guidance and support through the National Child Helpline. Your day-to-day tasks may include answering calls, referring callers to the appropriate government department, and providing assistance in various critical areas such as child welfare, gender-based violence, nutrition, mental health / SRH, child rights law, and early childhood education.
Qualifications

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Empathy and compassion towards individuals in need
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Proficiency in English and Swahili languages
