Purpose and scope of assignment.
As QA/QC Laboratory Technician you are required to ensure required quality standard of materials are met in accordance to specification by conducting quality test, perform inspection checks, calibrate equipment’s and communicate test results. You will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our company and clients/stakeholders’ assets, while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Job responsibilities
• Concrete Testing: Conduct various physical and chemical tests on concrete materials, including slump tests, compression tests, and workability tests.
• Sample Collection: Collect concrete samples from production sites and batching plants, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Data Recording: Accurately record test results and maintain detailed records of all experiments and tests performed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Quality Control: Monitor and report any discrepancies in concrete quality, and work with the production team to implement necessary adjustments.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report Generation: Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing test results and findings, and communicate them to relevant teams and management.
• Research and Development: Collaborate with the engineering team to explore new testing methods and technologies to enhance concrete quality.
Job Qualification, Experience and Skills Applicants should demonstrate the following:
• Tanzanian citizenship
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil
• Experience working with a variety of construction materials and components.
• Excellent knowledge of Laboratory equipment’s, technique, and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and document defects accurately.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and adhering to all relevant safety guidelines.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
• Minimum of [5 years continuous] of relevant experience.
