The Driver Trainer will have the responsibility to direct and lead all aspects of driver operations to ensure the delivery of a safe and punctual service while maintaining a high level of driving standards and customer focus. In particular, s/he will manage the drivers, senior drivers, ensuring competency standards are maintained and developed, driver resources are planned to meet requirements, and accidents and incidents are managed correctly and investigated.
Job Description
Supervising loading and unloading of cargo and its arrangement on trucks to avoid overweights
• Coordinating with drivers on overweights and how to resolve them.
• Preparation of truck & driver to go load through tools and truck checklist
• Protecting Company Image externally through professional training provided to drivers
• Managing driver YARD attendance, visitations, personal effects, discipline, security, rules, and regulations are strictly followed and reported to HR Conducting toolbox meetings weekly on issues identified on drivers & trucks Implementation of Transport Policy approved by management.
• Making sure drivers are always in full or required PPE while on sites.
• Conducting random Health and safety checks on drivers and trucks
• Managing and reporting driver incidents from a driver's perspective
• Advise workshop on truck repairs and maintenance to avoid breakdowns on the road.
• Making sure all drivers follow all health codes, warnings signs, and PP properly (Internally and externally)
• Coordinating with HR on driver's permissions and issuing security gate passes and maintaining a gate pass register, system, and process on the premises.
• Organizing Premises cleanliness including workshops, Trucks, and personality in general.
• Assist in driver recruitment and training in lieu with the above in coordination with HR and Operations
